Sorry!!

Evening!

Sorry about such a long wait between posts, I've been rather busy this past week and not feeling too well either. I have painted my nails twice since the last post once using China Glaze 'Elfin Around' and then again using Models Own 'Nude Beige' with a silver glitter accent finger. I will be doing some Christmas themed nails for my work party this Sunday so will post them next!

Lovely Lavender!

Good Evening!

After an uneventful day at work I decided I needed a fresh new look on my nails and upon seeing some lovely lavender manicures on Pinterest I had my chosen colour. Rimmel I love lasting finish in 'Marshmallow Heaven' was the only lavender colour I own. So a shopping trip may be in order as it is payday tomorrow. However, after putting the colour on it looked rather boring on it's own and still favouring striping tape I searched the internet for a cool design and the lattice one stood out. The criss cross pattern looks lovely and topped with Barry M 'Blueberry Ice cream' it really stands out.

Pinstripe Delight!

It's Gone Midnight!

After an early start for work and feeling rather tired I did think about doing a quick mani but that went out the window when I saw some lovely pinstripe manicures other people had done and just had to try them myself. Collection 'French White' was my undercoat for every finger apart from both ring fingers which was Barry M 'Blueberry Ice Cream'. After that came the stripping tape, a long and difficult process, mostly trying to find the end of the tape, but after a long while and a lot of patience I finally managed to tape every finger. The white was topped with the Barry M blue and the tape quickly pulled off when still wet. To finish was Primarks Matte Top Coat, which for a pound was a great deal and works wonders. On my ring fingers I covered the blue with a coat of Models Own 'Sparkler' a silver glitter with long rectangular glitter.

Galaxy and Gradient!

Lazy Friday!

After a lovely lazy day I decided to be ambitious and attempt some awesome looking nails. After deciding on a galaxy and gradient design I needed to find a tutorial easy enough that I could follow and settled on ones from 'The Nailasaurus'.

For the Galaxy Nails, I used Miss Sporty 'Green Lemon', W7 'Fluorescent Yellow', Barry M 'Blueberry Ice Cream', Rimmel 'Marshmallow Heaven', Hedy’s Ma.Nish.Ma Holographic Nail Color in 'Space Silver' and Primarks Matte Top Coat.

And for the gradient nails I used Rimmel 'Marshmallow Heaven' and Barry M 'Vivid Purple', with Collection 2in1 Top Coat.

After following the tutorial I got some pretty cool results!

Happy Friday! (Nearly)

Finally A Day Off Tomorrow!!

After a long 8 days at work and having naked nails, I decided my nails needed some pampering. I recently found in my local 99p Store OPI and China Glaze crackle effect nail polish for 99p and 3 for 99p. So obviously I had to get some. Gold, silver, green, purple, red and black were the choices available and for 99p how could I not?

For my undercoat I used BK nail polish number 15 which is a matte black I ordered from China and on top was China Glaze Crackle in 'Platinum Pieces' a lovely shiny glittery silver. To finish I used Matte Top Coat from Primark.

Gothic Glam!

Hey!

Sorry about such a long wait for a post, it has been a busy week with work. At the beginning of the week I bought three of the Collection 'Gothic Glam' set, numbers 1, 2 and 4. For this manicure I used number 1 'Dramatic' which is a lovely deep red with a shimmer to it. The polish goes on nice and easily and a couple of coats is enough. However I found the plain red a bit boring so decided to add a glitter to it, Barry M 'Pink Sapphire' which is a pink an silver mixed shape glitter that has good coverage and has a lovely finish.

To Polka Dot or Not

Good evening!

After a busy couple days at work preparing for an inventory, my cupcake nails had taken a slight battering and therefore needed to be changed. I tend to mull over a few ideas before finding one that I believe is right and suits my mood at that time. This time around I decided on polka dots, something I haven't done before as I'm not good at using my non dominant hand at doing dots. Even with a dotting tool I found it rather hard to make the dots even and neat. The colours I have used are Barry M 'Shocking Pink', Constance Carrol 'Neon Lime', Miss Sporty in red, Barry M 'Blueberry Ice Cream' and Miss Sporty in yellow. The white dots were Collection 'French White' and stand out very well against the base colour and create a funky effect.
